| Video blogging - the latest trend in free online video clips | | Posted Wednesday, January 25, 2006 6:49:20 PM by Rose Martins | What exactly is a video blog? It's a free hosting site for video bloggers to post their video material to be viewed by all for free. The free amateur video clips and samples are sometimes funny, often serious and generally try to impart with a message of sorts.
But video blogs are not the only place where one can view videos for free. Free music videos can be downloaded off the internet, as can free video games and video clips.
All you need is the necessary video codes that allow you to view the video downloads on your PC, DVD and mobile device.
Free streaming video software allows you to watch free videos online, without bogging down your computer. Most of the free video that is available for download off the internet, is royalty free, making it legally permissible to do so.
A video producer that is still gaining royalties from sales and use of video material, is not going to be happy with people downloading it for free.
Free instant chat and internet telephone service providers are now offering free video as part of their programs. You can now see the person to whom you are chatting and/or talking.

| | | What we're diggin: Hard cider, free videos | | Posted Sunday, November 12, 2006 1:13:32 PM by Blog57 Team | | When I first tried Uncle John's hard cider at the Festival of the Sun in Lansing's Old Town I was hooked. Not being too into wines, it's what I've stuck to drinking the past couple of times I've attended the festival. It's often crossed my mind to make the drive to Uncle John's in St. Johns and pick up a jug but I've never done it. Something about taking a 40-minute round trip drive just to pick up alcohol kind of seemed, well, like something an alcoholic would do. But when I found myself at the cider mill to pick out a pumpkin, enjoy a wagon ride and partake in all sorts of fall festivities, I thought it'd be a good time to splurge. After sampling their three different hard cider selections, I went with a jug of the original. .... | |

Wednesday, November 08, 2006 By Peter Grant, The Wall Street Journal BC-WSJ--YouTube on Cable,1043 Are YouTube videos ready for prime time? Eds: Via AP. Web sites like YouTube have vaulted into the vanguard of Internet entertainment by providing a medium for people to post videos of practically any imaginable activity, from bizarre pet antics to teenagers riding shopping carts into walls. Now some of the country's largest telecom operators, including Comcast Corp. and Verizon Communications Inc., are trying to determine if there's a business in putting such videos on television. On Monday, Comcast launched a trial version of ziddio.com, a Web site that uses contests to attract homegrown videos, with the best then available for Comcast's video-on-demand TV service.... | |

| | | Google Video Loses NBA, Gains Free NHL Videos | | Posted Tuesday, November 07, 2006 3:04:02 AM by Blog57 Team | | The NBA has terminated its sale of game videos on Google Video, a partnership that would have been ten months old tomorrow. That would typically indicate either dissatisfaction with Googles video store model, the NBA wanting more money, or something else entirely (like the YouTube deal). Still, Google Video users get something better, because it is free: The NHL is now available on Google Video. Not only can you watch a ton of current season hockey games, plus some great classic games, full length and commercial free on Google Video, but you can also download the videos for permanent ownership as an iPod/PSP MP4 file, or a .GVI/AVI freako hybrid video. The only thing I dont like is that the videos cant be embedded on other sites. More @ source. .... | |
